The New and Old in Starcraft 2
When Starcraft 2 will be out in the market these coming months, a lot of surprises are waiting in store for you. The creator of this game, Blizzard Entertainment, has devised some different strategies, different developments and changes that you partake in. One of these changes involves the units of the game. The original Starcraft has brought to this new one the original number of units, andexpect that there would be some units that would be upgraded and modified. An example would be the Protoss zealot, that now has the ability to quickly move in a charge way when they engage in a battle. Apart from this, there are also other units which have been changed, transformed or modified, and there are units in some of the races which have been eliminated entirely. The expansion of Starcraft, Brood War, also provided with the inspirations to some of these units – adapting various and different strategies and abilities.
The story of Starcraft starts four years after the original Starcraft, wherein old and new heroes, old and new villains come back. Among those that have been adapted into the second part are Jim Raynor, Sarah Kerrigan, Zeratul, Arcturus Mengsk and Artanis. There are also other new characters that would play a pivotal role in this game – Tychus Findlay, who will be playing a marine under Jim Raynor, and Matt Horner, a character who is Raynor’s second in command. Horner came from the novel Queen of Blades.
Players such as you will get the chance to go back to the places you have visited before such as Mar Sara, Braxis and Char, as well as other new worlds like Bel’Shir. There has also been news that the creators of the powerful races Protoss and Zerg, Xel’Naga, will also play a vital role in this game.
After what happened during the first Starcraft, Sarah Kerrigan and her team, the Zerg forces, have already raided the race of the Protoss. But at the end of the first series, the Brood War, despite her commanding and influential force of defeating the opposing forces, she retreats into oblivion and hasn’t been heard from ever since. While she is absent, Arcturus Mengsk has taken control of Dominion – at the same time, trying to fight off evil and opposing troops. On the other hand, Jim Raynor’s status has been cut down to mercenary and is presently left in talks with another faction in the world. The reason for this talk is that Raynor has been hurt and damaged by the way he was treated by Arcturus Mengsk.
The expansion of this Starcraft 2 was first developed under the title Medusa, and was announced in Seoul, South Korea. The creator of this game, Blizzard Entertainment, claimed that the development of Starcraft 2 started in 2003, after the release of Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne. Ever since Blizzard Entertainment has announced the release of Starcraft 2, fans, who have been avidly waiting, are involved with the interactive questions and answer community instigated by the Blizzard Entertainment’s community manager, Kevin Yu.
