Trusted sources claim that the ongoing beta phase project which is Starcraft 2 is slated to be released at the end of the year 2008. This game is almost similar to the previous Starcraft, only that this game is more riddled with excitement and adventure as the heroes in the game are faced with some old and new villains alike. This game is released in Asian countries as Asia is still the biggest bulk of the buyers in this Blizzard Entertainment creation. Asia is still the biggest buyers of Starcraft 2, and that the makers of this game have reached out and worked hard to make this game successful – and to make players have fun with Starcraft 2.
Starcraft 2 starts at the end of Starcraft 1, which now introduces a new type of race called Kerrigan. With this new development, Starcraft 2 has now four new and powerful races to combat each other, and with the presence of new characters and up-to-date technological advance in its special effects, Starcraft 2 has sealed its dominion over the success of other science fiction games. There have been sources who say that the new game is now a mixture of the Protoss and the Zergs but it’s still not sure whether the new race will be a combination of the Protoss and the Zerg or the Zerg and the Terran. One of the amazing things about these powerful races is that two units have already been added to the race, making the game more enticing and adventurous.
What sets Starcraft 2 apart from the other games is, aside from all of these new developments, is that it has imbibed in the game the idea of interaction – with its cool and new visual graphics being used. And Blizzard Entertainment made sure that these visual graphics have cinematic-like quality, which means that the players will seem like they are watching movies instead of playing a game.
Another thing is that this game is set for multi-player mode, which means that there can be more than one player playing the game at the same time. Starcraft 2 is prepared to be developed in Vista, Windows XP and Mac, and the people behind this game are working hard to make this successful. This game has started its development stage after the release of Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne but the release date of Starcraft 2 is not yet exactly known.
Starcraft 2 is still in its beta stages but is hoped to release at the end of this year, and new improvements such as with its sound effects, visual effects, graphics are still implemented. Plus there are talks that dragons are going to be part of this much-waited game.
